Monet's water lily panels at Musée de l'Orangerie

Interior of Ladurée

That afternoon, my subgroup planned to visit two places that my feet and I weren't initially too enthused about. However, the enormous Monet water lily panels at Musée de l’Orangerie were definitely worth the trip, as was Ladurée, a famous bustling tea house. While I don't particularly like tea, I love desserts, including the decadent layered chocolate concoction I devoured. (I'll admit - as I sipped my Coke, I half-wondered if the 7£ pricetag was admonishment for not drinking tea.)

Later, we caught the night's last Bateaux Mouches tour of the Seine. Onboard, we heard interesting facts repeated in multiple languages as we drifted past Paris' beautiful illuminated history-laden architecture.
