Patrick detailing the museum's collections | |
Wednesday began with a visit to the Cluny Museum, known for medieval artifacts... and stern warnings against the use of flash photography. Then tour members Nancy, Sue and I set off for an afternoon on our own in the Marais district which began with an unapologetic trip to Starbucks. (Instant energy!) Lunch was spent with Sue's ex-pat friend who made the suggestion of a Thai foot massage nearby. We soon found ourselves pampered as our feet, legs, arms and backs were expertly massaged. The decadence continued during our group dinner at Le Bosquet. Knowing many of us were reluctant to order a full serving of escargot, the ever-thoughtful Patrick offered us individual samples which I tried.. and liked! |
