The next day we took a 30-minute commuter train ride to tour the Palace of Versailles. After touring the ornate interior with Elizabeth, we walked the expansive grounds that were being prepared for spring flowerbeds. I enjoyed the contrast of Versailles' small-town feel in comparison to the much larger Paris.

After our tour, we enjoyed savory buckwheat crêpes before catching the train back into Paris. Our last dinner together followed, concluding with a group photo in front of the Eiffel Tower.
